Target Audience

This activity is designed to address the educational needs of electrophysiologists, fellows-in-training, engineers and researchers, translational researchers, and other physician groups, as well as allied healthcare professionals interested in expanding their foundational knowledge of PFA and its future directions.

Target Audience

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

Examine electroporation on the membrane and cell level
Evaluate tissue response to high-voltage electric pulses and the effects of electric pulses on microcirculation and large vessels.
Discuss lesion assessment and strategies to minimize unwanted effects.
Assess the value of numerical modeling in Ventricular PFA.
Discuss cMRI signature of PFA.
Evaluate Preclinical and clinical results for PFA, including identifying hurdles and potential solutions.
Review cardiac tissue selectivity, electric field distribution, current density, and the thermal footprint of PFA.
Evaluate the physics underlying RF and PFA, including similarities and differences.
Assess current ventricular tachycardia ablation studies using PFA and the benefits and limitations of different PFA systems.
